- Why should I shop at HaydenJewelers.com?
We like to believe that we offer one of the best values anywhere on the web. Here is what we offer our customers...
- We give away gold for free. We offer a free 14k gold solitaire setting with platinum head with every loose diamond that is sold in our store or through our site.
- Free cleaning and inspection for life. Every six months, you can mail your ring to us or stop by the store. We'll give your ring a thorough cleaning and inspect your stones to assure that your diamond is safe and sound.
- Our diamonds come with license plates. All of our loose diamonds come with accredited certifications from respectable authorities in gemology such as GIA (The Gemological Institute of America).
- We've been around the block. We've been in business for over 25 years. That gives you peace of mind that we're not here today, gone tomorrow.
- We are a respected business and community leader. Some of our affiliations include the Better Business Bureau, Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America and The Gemological Institute of America. Jim Hayden was once President of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
- We're a brick and mortar store. Unlike other online jewelry sites, we are a business with real people with an actual retail location. If you ever have any problems with your order, you know exactly where we can be reached.
- How can I contact you?
You can call us at 1.800.Haydens (locally at 622.1228) or send us an email. We'd be happy to assist you.

Shipping & Returns...
- Why will you only ship to the billing address on my credit card?
For your protection as well as ours, we exercise certain precautions when shipping orders over $300.00. One of these precautions is restricting our shipments to the billing address on file with your credit card company.
We realize that this may be an inconvenience for some of our customers and we apologize. At Hayden's, we strive to offer the lowest prices possible. By reducing credit card fraud, we are able to pass these savings on to you.

We will not charge your credit card until the day your order is shipped. The only exception is custom jewelry where half of the purchase price is required upfront.
- How will my charge appear on my credit card?
Your charge will appear as Hayden Jewelers on your credit card statement.
- I did not make a purchase from your website. What now?
If you did not make a purchase from our site but show a charge on your credit card, please check to make sure that a purchase was not made by a family member or roommate. More often than not, unrecognizable credit card charges are simple misunderstandings and not a case of fraud.

- Can I purchase Nomination charms online?
At this time, we do not offer Nomination on our website.
- Does my jewelry come with a warranty?
Our warranty provides coverage for defects in manufacturing only (based upon Hayden Jeweler's inspection and sole determination) and expressly excludes coverage for excessive wear and tear and/or physical/accidental abuse, loss and theft. Improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than Hayden Jewelers will void any warranty.
- What’s the difference between Carat and Karat?
A karat is the unit of measurement used to indicate the purity of gold. Carat is a term used to measure the weight of a diamond.
- What's the difference between 14-karat and 18-karat?
Simply put, a karat is the unit of measurement used to indicate the purity of gold (since gold is in fact a mixture of gold and other metals). Pure gold is 24-karat (24K), 18-karat gold is 75% pure, 14-Karat is 58% pure and so on.
- What is white gold? What makes it white?
Because pure gold is too soft to resist prolonged handling, it is usually mixed with other metals to increase its hardness for use in jewelry.
Most gold used in jewelry is alloyed (mixed with silver, copper and small amounts of zinc) to produce various shades of yellow gold. Nickel, copper and zinc are added to produce white gold. The color of these gold alloys goes from yellow to white as the proportion of nickel in them increases.
- Why do similar pieces of jewelry have such different prices?
There are a few factors that can affect the value of gold jewelry. Since gold is sold by weight, heavier pieces will usually be more costly than lighter ones. More comlicated jewelry, such as an intricate gold chain, can cost more than a plain chain of similar weight because of the extra time involved in producing the piece.
Designer jewelry also generally costs more, especially if it is a one-of-a-kind piece. Special finishes, such as matte or sandblasted, may also affect the cost of the piece.

- What's the best way to care for and clean my jewelry?
It's important to keep your jewelry away from harsh chemicals such as chlorine and cleaning fluids. This will help reduce daily abrasions and prolong your jewelry's luster.
To clean most jewelry safely, use a solution of warm water and detergent-free soap. Wash gently with a soft-bristled brush (a dull tooth brush works well). Store your jewelry pieces separately in soft cloth bags or original boxes to protect them from daily elements and other jewelry pieces.
Finally, never sleep in your fine jewelry.
